State of the Union
I was very moved (to tears) at the scene of one woman, a mother, who lost her soldier son embracing another woman, a daughter, who lost her father. The one, an Iraqi, lost her father at the hands of the tyranical saddam. The other, lost a son fighting so that no more fathers die under saddam.
It was for me a very powerful moment. I can't imagine the pain of a parent losing a child. I also can't imagine the pride that they must feel to have a son who joined the armed forces by his own free will and served to the fullest. He and others like him made last Sundays election so very meaningful to us all.
For now. . .
